I didn’t see this coming, and now I need your help.
I thought I’d have the next 10 or 20 years to speak about my eighth and most recent book, The 5 Principles of Authentic Living: How to Live an Authentic Life in 10 Words. In this book, I share the distilled essence of what I have experienced about life — after almost 50 years of deep spiritual work, meditation, and self-inquiry.
In May 2011, I began what I thought would be years of teaching these 5 Principles to audiences around the world. I left my home in Australia and moved back to the USA. I stayed with my sister in Los Angeles for a few months, then went to Bali to lead an authenticity retreat, then stopped in Australia on my way back to the US.

Less Time?
I have only preliminary “opinions” from an oncology team here in Australia. Further tests are required, treatment options to be considered. I don’t know if I have years or months with which to share myself and my work with you. In one way, today is very different from yesterday. In another way, it isn’t. Life is as fluid and magical as ever. Let’s see what happens.
What Now?
I want to continue doing what I set out to do a few months ago: teach The 5 Principles of Authentic Living. But now, I need your help to do this. The game has changed, somehow, though I have yet to understand exactly how.

Flying to San Francisco
I’m flying to San Francisco on January 11. My brothers and sisters and many dear friends are there. I lived there for almost 20 years, before moving to Australia. I want to settle there, begin teaching and sharing my work with as many people as want to learn, and start to fully recover my health. I need your help to do this.
Why Do I Need Your Help?
At the precise moment of a great need for financial and material means, I have little. Alas, no, I do not have health insurance! I have exhausted my own savings in partial payment of my current hospital and medical bills.
I’ll start out living with my sister, Gina. But I would like to secure my own place to live, from where I can also immediately begin speaking about what I have recently written. I believe you would enjoy and benefit from hearing what I have to say. Many of you already have — recently or during some other point in the past 25 years of my speaking about my own exploration and experience of self, reality, awareness.
Accelerated Authenticity Teaching Initiative
I envision being in a living space where I can also meet with people daily who want to learn about The 5 Principles of Authentic Living. People will be welcome to drop by, sit quietly, ask questions. We’ll record some of these interactions and post them on a special new You Tube channel.
I’ll accept media interview requests so people can connect with me to learn about The 5 Principles of Authentic Living, access points to their own authentic being.
Of course, I’ll follow up immediately with further testing of my cancer to determine treatment options, with both traditional and holistic professional support and guidance in this area. I am in the process of setting some appointments even as I write this.
