Route 101 Hero’s Journey

For my personally directed retreat, I will be following the journey set out for me by Steven Barnes …. 101 days … I will go on a weekly journey to Sugar Ridge as part of my accountability to myself, and make sure that I remain on the path …. I will also contribute to the hero’s journey forum …

Day 1 – Route 101 Hero’s Journey – Introduction to the Five Tibetans , immortality exercises of the Tibetan monks, first introduced by Peter Kelder in his 1937 book, the Eye of Revelation

    Day 1 – happy to get started, will have a goal to swim with the dolphins…
    now learning the dolphin stroke to swim like a dolphin…
    What I learned, risk asking someone … a little concerned the person at the pool would think I was hitting on him, figured, oh what the heck ask him anyway…. He told me he pretended to be jumping over waves, that will make it easier…

    5 Tibetans – very dizzy after #1, could barely lift my legs for #2, felt more comfortable with #3, couldn’t lift both sides of my body #4, could only do half of the reps well for #5 … I have a long way to go… these exercises do cover the body core and will show me how to breathe…. I did it, I’ll do it better, I did it… : )

    Day 2 – feel like throwing up after the exercises, so dizzy after the spins, not able to lift my body for exercise 3 …. it doesn’t matter ….. I will get stronger, learn to breathe better … I will always have the sense that I have room for continuous improvement…. just the discipline to do the routine is important….. my reward….. five minutes of visualizing swimming with the miami dolphins …. : )

    Day 3 …
    Did my Tibetan Rites in the Swimming Pool.
    Worked and played as hard as I could to do my dolphin kicks, while I did my laundry . Did a family literacy workshop, did a local marketing workshop, had a constructive day at work, a great Christmas lunch, did research found a new affiliate site, visited my significant other… had an amazing day ….. : ) So much better with focus.

    Was doing to many different things….
    100 day cocreate reality
    route 101
    decided to refocus and consolidate….

    Following a similar path to Lilou Mace, she started her “juicy living tour” january 11, I have been getting organized and figuring out my path for my year’s journey…..

    It started 2 weeks ago at Sugar Ridge…..
    I will be doing a weekly visit to Sugar Ridge for Friday am. sunrise yoga…..
    spending Thursday evening in silence, creating, meditating, reflecting…..

    Last week, my friend and yoga teacher Liz helped me adapt the five tibetans until I can do them properly….

    Yesterday I finished my 2 season of cocreate reality….

    The new 100 day season will be synchronized with my route 101 Steve Barnes journey….

    I will also start a year long daily log which will include a reflection on a daily entry by James Allen, in his 1911 journey…..

    My initiation, was a 2 year awakening…….

    My planned 1 year journey begins now……..

    I begin Route 101 – today…..
